يعرض هذا البحث أثر الغرض ودوره في بناء الأحکام النحوية والتصريفية، وکيف اتخذه النحاة أساسًا لبناء أحکامهم، فعولوا عليه في وجوب الحکم أو منعه أو جوازه، أو استدلال لمذهبهم. ويوضح البحث ـ أيضا ـ أثر الغرض في العدول عن الأصل سواء بالتقديم والتأخير، أو الحذف أو غير ذلک، کما في تقديم الخبر على المبتدأ، وحذف الفاعل، وحذف المفعول. کذلک يهدف البحث إلى جمع الأحکام النحوية والتصريفية التي عول فيها النحاة على الغرض، ودراستها
 
This research presents the effect of the purpose and its role in building grammatical and morphological rulings, and how grammarians took it as a basis for building their rulings, so they relied on it in the necessity, prohibition, or permissibility of ruling, or as an inference for their doctrine. The research also shows the effect of the purpose in revoking the original, whether by presentation and delay, or deletion or otherwise, as in presenting the news on the initiator, deleting the subject, and deleting the object. The research also aims to collect grammatical and morphological rulings in which grammarians relied on the purpose, and to study them.
