جاء هذا البحث بعنوان : الغاية الأخلاقية بين فلسفة اليونان والعصر الوسيط ـ دراسة مقارنة ـ وقد اشتمل على مقدمة وفصلين وخاتمة. تناول الفصل الأول : الحديث عن الغاية الأخلاقية في الفلسفة اليونانية ، والفصل الثاني : الحديث عن الغاية الأخلاقية في العصر الوسيط ، وکان من أبرز الأهداف المساهمة في تصحيح الفکرة الخاطئة التي وصم بها العصر الوسيط ، وتعرضه لحملات بالغة العنف ؛ حيث اتهمه المفکرون بأنه عصر ظلام ، مقيد في الأصفاد والأغلال ، وأن فلسفته لم تکن في مضمونها سوى صياغة للفکر القديم في قالب مسيحي ، متناسين أن المسيحية جاءت بأفکار جديدة مختلفة تمامًا عن الأفکار التي قامت عليها الفلسفة اليونانية ، وقد تطلب هذا الأمر الاعتماد على المنهج المقارن لبيان أوجه الشبه والاختلاف بين أفکار کلا العصرين ، حتى يتبين لنا ما في أفکار العصر الوسيط من أصالة وابتکار ، أو ما فيها من تکرار وتقليد. کذا من الأهداف : إثراء المکتبة الإسلامية بمزيد من الدراسات المقارنة التي تساعد في کشف الحقائق في المسائل الغامضة.
 
This research came under the title: The Ethical Objective between Greek and Medieval Philosophy - A Comparative Study - and it included an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter dealt with talking about the moral purpose in Greek philosophy, and the second chapter: talking about the moral purpose in the Middle Ages. One of the most important goals was to contribute to correcting the wrong idea that stigmatized the Middle Ages, and subjected it to extremely violent campaigns; Where thinkers accused him of being a dark age, tied in handcuffs and shackles, and that his philosophy was in its content nothing but a formulation of ancient thought in a Christian mold, forgetting that Christianity came with new ideas completely different from the ideas on which Greek philosophy was based, and this required relying on the comparative method To clarify the similarities and differences between the ideas of both eras, so that it becomes clear to us the originality and innovation in the ideas of the Middle Ages, or what they contain of repetition and imitation. As well as the objectives: to enrich the Islamic library with more comparative studies that help in revealing the facts in obscure issues.
