 تتماس الدراسة عبر توظيف المنهج التحليلي مع الرؤية الإبداعية، التي تشي بأهمية المکان وسطوة حضوره في تشکيل فضاء الرواية، وتبحث عن أهميته عند اختفاء البطولة البشرية، وتجلي المکان الذي تتشکل عبر تفاصيله أنماط بشرية متعددة، تتحرک في کل اتجاه. فنجيب محفوظ مبدع الرواية العربية أحد أهم من وظفوا الفضاء (الأمکنة) في إبداعهم الروائي سيما في روايته زقاق المدق، التي يمثل  فضاؤها البطولة المطلقة؛ لأن المکانية تکسب العمل الروائي الخصوصية الإبداعية. إذ يلد المکان السر قبل أن تلده الأحداث، بشکل أکثر عمقا وأکبر أثرا في عالم الرواية. وبهذا الحضور الأدبي ينجح المکان في نسج العلاقات الإنسانية والقيم الحضارية والطاقات الفنية، وتتبلور الرؤية الإبداعية ودلالاتها الجمالية في تشکيل الشخصيات ونظيراتها، التي تصنع عبر علائقها وتفاعلاتها الصراع في الفضاء الروائي. وعبر بطولة الفضاء الروائي تتشکل آليات الفن وطاقاته الجمالية، وتنشأ عن أمکنته المتعددة الأنماطٌ البشرية التي تصنع تکوينها البانورامي، وتکشف عن البعد الإنساني والحضاري للإنسان نتاج هذا الزقاق في عالم الرواية.
The study is in keeping with the analytical approach with the creative vision, which suggests the importance of the place and the medium of its presence in the formation of the space of the novel, and looks for its importance when the disappearance of human heroism, and the manifestation of the place that is formed through its details multiple human patterns, moving in each direction . Naguib Mahfouz, creator of the Arabic novel, is one of the most important employees of space (places) in their novel creation, especially in his novel Alley al-Madiq, whose space represents the absolute heroism;Because spatiality earns fiction creative privacy. The place generates the secret before the events give birth to it, in a deeper and deeper way in the world of the novel. With this literary presence, the place succeeds in spun human relations, cultural values and artistic energies, and the creative vision and its aesthetic connotations are crystallized in the formation of the characters and their counterparts, which are made through their relationand interactions conflict in the narrative space. Through the heroism of the narrative space, the mechanisms of art and its aesthetic energies are formed, and arise from its multi-pattern human places that make its panoramic composition, and reveal the human and civilizational dimension of man, the product of this alley in the world of the novel.
